no more postings

I have decided to rethink how I do my blogging. I have two: this one and Altered in Scotland. Since neither are followed much, I am going to use Altered in Scotland as an online diary to reflect on life and document the changes over the next year as I predict many ahead. I love to share pictures of Scotland so I will continue to post those on the Altered site so if anyone happens to stumble upon it they can see this beautiful country.

So here's to the future........

The natural beauty of sheep

For some reason this Spring I am obsessed with sheep. I want to hug it, squeeze it, and call it George. This one was so cute as it stretched before sprinting.

How can you not want to lay down and cuddle with this wee one?
This one was only a few days old and could hardly walk.

There are a lot of 'teenager' lambs just now. At that gawky age where they aren't as cute when they were wee and not as pretty as they will be when all grown up. Nevermind, they are such pretty creatures I don't know how people can eat them :(

Springtime?

The flowers say it is Spring, but the nippy air says otherwise. I hate that it is still so cold!

Bronte sisters birth place

Took a long way home today from Widnes and drove through Yorkshire. Couldn't resist stopping to visit this place.

I also visited the Parsonage where the family lived after moving from here. Will post tomorrow as upload seems to be dreadfully slow tonight.

What a beautiful day!

Walked around the reservoir this morning in the brilliant sunshine. Kicking myself for not bringing the camera as two gorgeous swans were there. Managed to bring back a wee token of the day.

Reminded me of my vintage china I picked up in an antique shop in Chico California. Although I only have two bowls and two plates, I love it!

Lovin' it!

My most favorite weather today. Sunny skies with dark clouds over the mountains. Drove into Edinburgh from Perth toward East Lothian lost in the beauty of the day. Today was a good day to live in Scotland!

Beautiful and stormy

A beautiful, sunny, Friday. Saturday was very stormy and mostly the same on Sunday. With all this beauty surrounding me, it will not take away the incredible homesickness. Miss my family so much! June won't come soon enough.
